Thanks for joining us this year at the 22nd Annual Richmond County Fair!

4-H Farmer for the Day

The 4-H Farmer for the Day program will be offered again this year as one of the youth activities associated with the Richmond County Fair.  The hands-on program focuses on agriculture and fair related activities.  It is open to all youth ages 9-18 and will take place on Thursday, August 26 and Friday, August 27 in Warsaw at the Richmond County Fairgrounds and runs from 10am-2pm both days.  In the past, hands-on activities have included handling dairy goats and calves, tractor safety, a horseless horse show, judging eggs, vegetables and baked goods.  This year’s program will be different but will surely be fun and interactive.  Participants must register with the Richmond County Extension Office at 333-3420 and will need to have a 4-H Health History form on file.  Children should wear closed toed shoes, bring a lunch and something to drink.

If you are a person with a disability and desire any assistive devices, services or other accommodations to participate in this activity, please contact the Richmond County Extension Office at 803-333-3420/TDD* during business hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. to discuss accommodations 5 days prior to the event.  *TDD number is (800) 828-1120.
